Maren Brown’s paintings Atmospherics: Deep Woods (acrylic on panel, 2024) and Travelogues: Black Mountain (egg tempera on panel, 2024) have been selected for inclusion in the juried exhibition Expanding Visions at the Lyme Art Association in Lyme, Connecticut. Juror Douglas Degges, Assistant Professor of Art in Painting and Drawing at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT, awarded third place to Brown’s painting Atmospherics: Deep Woods.

Running from June 6 to July 17, 2025, Expanding Visions features a wide range of artistic styles—from hyper-realism to nonrepresentational abstraction. The exhibition encourages viewers to explore fresh creative perspectives and broaden their visual experience.
