A solo exhibition featuring recent egg tempera paintings by Maren Brown at Galatea Fine Arts in Boston's SoWa Arts District. Brown has painted in egg tempera for more than 30 years, often combining it with gold leaf in ways that reference—but also reimagine—the sacred tradition of icon painting.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, September 4 from 6-8 p.m. during SoWa’s First Fridays event. The reception is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Thursday-Sunday, 12-4, and by appointment.
